Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
This page explains how the Sky Coaches website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.
Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function correctly, such as keeping you signed in and remembering the choices you make during a session. They cannot be disabled through our site.
Authentication and session
When you sign in to a Sky Coaches account, we use secure authentication and session storage so you stay signed in as you use the site.
Preference cookies
We may store small preferences on your device, such as the last filters you selected, so the site works the way you expect on your next visit.
Analytics cookies
Analytics are switched off by default. Nothing is measured, and no analytics identifier is created, unless you choose “Accept analytics”. Simply scrolling, closing the banner or continuing to browse is never treated as consent.
Purpose. We use our own first-party analytics to understand how the website is used so we can improve pages, routes and the enquiry process. We do not sell analytics data and never use it for advertising or profiling.
What we record. Event categories only: the start of a browsing session, page views, whether an enquiry form was started or submitted, and clicks on booking enquiry, get a quote, call, WhatsApp, email, return deal and request return coach buttons. We also store the page path and a small set of context values such as route or return journey slug, button location and how you arrived (search, social, referral or direct).
Anonymous session ID. When you accept, a random ID is generated in your browser. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, account or IP-based identity. It is stored in session storage and is deleted when you close the browser tab, so it lasts for that browsing session only.
Retention. Raw analytics events are kept for a maximum of 13 months and are then permanently deleted.
Consent and withdrawal. You can accept, reject or fine-tune analytics at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops all measurement immediately and removes the anonymous session ID; no further events are sent.
Staff access. Analytics data is readable only by authorised Sky Coaches staff with marketing permissions (super admin, operations admin and content admin). It is never publicly accessible, and customers and drivers cannot view it.
Google Maps and third-party services
If a page loads a third-party service such as Google Maps, that provider may set its own cookies. We only load such services on pages where they are needed.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working correctly.
For more information about how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
