Your choices: the cookie banner

When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. Optional analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you decide. Scrolling, closing the banner or continuing to browse is never treated as consent.

• Accept all — allows our analytics and the advertising tools described below (Google Ads and the Meta Pixel).
• Reject optional — keeps analytics and advertising cookies switched off. Necessary cookies still work, so you can browse, sign in and send an enquiry.
• Manage preferences — opens a panel where you can switch “Analytics & advertising” on or off and save your choice.

Your choice is saved on this device so the banner does not keep reappearing.

Analytics

With your consent we use our own first-party analytics to understand how the website is used so we can improve pages, routes and the enquiry process. We record event categories only: the start of a browsing session, page views, whether an enquiry form was started or submitted, and clicks on booking enquiry, get a quote, call, WhatsApp, email and return deal buttons, together with the page path and simple context such as button location and how you arrived (search, social, referral or direct). A random session ID is stored in session storage and deleted when you close the tab. Raw analytics events are kept for a maximum of 13 months and are readable only by authorised Sky Coaches staff. We do not sell analytics data.

Advertising: Google Ads

We use Google Ads to advertise Sky Coaches. The Google tag on this website uses Google Consent Mode. Before you make a choice, and if you reject optional cookies, advertising storage is denied and no Google advertising cookies are set. Google may still receive limited cookieless signals (for example that a page was viewed and your consent status), which Google uses for aggregated measurement.

If you choose Accept all (or switch advertising on in your preferences), Google may set advertising cookies such as _gcl_au and use them for conversion measurement (counting when an advert leads to a submitted enquiry), advertising attribution (linking an enquiry to the advert or campaign you came from) and audience features such as remarketing lists and ad personalisation. When an enquiry is submitted, we send Google only the enquiry reference to prevent double counting — never your name, email, phone number or journey details.

Advertising: Meta Pixel

We use the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel to measure how our Meta adverts perform. The Meta Pixel does not load at all until you accept advertising cookies. Once you accept, it may set cookies such as _fbp and record a page view, and a “Lead” event when you submit an enquiry, again using only the enquiry reference. Automatic advanced matching is switched off, so no enquiry contact details are shared with Meta.

Changing your mind or withdrawing consent

You can reopen your choices at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer, then choose Reject optional cookies or switch “Analytics & advertising” off and save. Withdrawal takes effect immediately in the open page, without a refresh: our analytics stop and the session ID is removed, Google consent is set back to denied, and the Meta Pixel stops sending events and its cookies are removed where your browser allows. Cookies that Google or Meta have already set on their own domains can be cleared through your browser settings.

Google Maps and third-party services

If a page loads a third-party service such as Google Maps, that provider may set its own cookies. We only load such services on pages where they are needed.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working correctly.
